Frequently Asked Questions

Get quick, clear answers to the questions you may have about financial coaching.

How much does financial coaching cost?

The initial consultation is complementary. Here we will explore your needs and goals for future coaching sessions. I'll work with you as we discuss pricing options.

What is covered in a typical coaching session?

Sessions typically cover goal-setting, budget reviews, debt reductions plans, guidance, insurance needs, major purchase decisions and more. Sessions are tailored to your needs and goals.

In short, I provide structure that will help you find your next step and make progress towards your financial future. My gift is the personal level of service I offer coupled with a listening ear, resources, and knowledge to encourage you as you become debt-free and financially stable.

Who should get financial coaching?

You should work with a coach if you want/need help or guidance:

    Budgeting

    Getting out of debt

Talking to your spouse or family about money

Planning and saving for big goals—a wedding, a car, a down payment for a home

Strategizing when and how to save for retirement

But also consider what coaching is not. Coaching does not offer specialized advice. A coach is not a investment professional or financial advisor.

The main difference between a coach and an investment professional is that a coach focuses on your behavior, but an investment professional will focus on your money’s behavior. Coaching works well alongside financial advisors and Dustin will recommend several for your consideration as you are ready for to that step.

How long are your coaching sessions?

Sessions are 60 minutes long, depending on your needs and goals. We will meet once a month or as much as once a week. You have the freedom to book these at a time that best meets your needs.

Is your financial coaching delivered online or in-person?

Video chat will be the most likely means so that you get personalized coaching conveniently from home or your office. Depending on your situation though, in-person coaching can be made available.

What is the difference between Financial Peace University and financial coaching?

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-week class that teaches Dave Ramsey’s principles, especially the “Baby Steps.” Financial coaching will help you apply these principles. If FPU is an instruction manual (the teaching), coaching is someone helping you follow the instructions (the mindset, behavior, and accountability).

What will coaching help me do?

+ Get out of debt

+ Handle your finances and relationships better

+ Set up a monthly budget and stick to it

+ Plan for retirement

What is "Two Faithful"?

This name is taken from two different passages of Scripture. The "two" comes from the two mites that the widow put in the offering and Jesus' respons that her gift was more than all the others (Luke 21:1-4). The "faithful" comes from Luke 16:10 when Jesus says, "One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much." The connection here is that even with just a little, the key is what your heart desires to do... what are your goals, who do you seek to honor, and will you be faithful with what God has given you?
Two Faithful Financial Coaching is here to help you do just that!
